Two Perspectives on Reality

On Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 5:00–6:30 pm (CET), Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will offer an online seminar on Yogācāra and Dzogchen.

In these two sessions, Rinpoche will explore the philosophical differences between Yogācāra (Mind-Only) and Dzogchen (Great Perfection), with particular emphasis on their distinct views of reality. Yogācāra explains experience in terms of consciousness and the absence of subject–object duality, presenting a gradual path of transforming mind into wisdom. Dzogchen, by contrast, points to primordial awareness (rigpa) as the already complete ground of reality, in which emptiness and luminosity are inseparable.

Through clarifying these perspectives, participants will gain deeper insight into two profound yet distinct approaches within Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna Buddhist philosophy.

Students of the Longchen Shedra the four-year study program in Buddhist philosophy founded and taught by Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche, may attend free of charge.
For all other participants, the contribution is 20 Euro.
