Dear all!

We would like to invite you to get to know ‘Shanta Vana’ our new retreat centre of Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche and his spiritual friend Dhammadipa! Shanta Vana means peaceful forest and is located one hour north-east of Prague in the beautiful ‘Bohemian Paradise’, a wonderful nature reserve.

From Friday 9 August to Sunday 11 August we would like to practice there with you, do Karmayoga and explore the beautiful forests, rivers and caves that surround Shanta Vana.

We will welcome the day with Qi Gong and follow Dhammadipa’s precious meditation instructions. After preparing lunch together, we will do karmayoga in the kitchen, forest and house and explore the area before rounding off the day in a cosy get-together. Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will speak to us online and teach pranayama online on Sunday morning.

You are welcome to bring your guitar, treats for our meal or flowers from your garden to grow and blossom in Shanta Vana.

Venerable Dhammadipa holds several degrees in Buddhist teaching and philosophy, Chinese and Russian literature as well as Sanskrit in Europe and Asia. He has maintained an intensive meditation practice since 1986 and until recently was ordained in the Theravāda (since 1987) and Mahayana (since 1989) traditions.

As a qualified Dharma and meditation teacher, Dhammadipa leads retreats and teaches Dharma in Europe, America and Asia. His extraordinary understanding of the Theravāda and Mahayana traditions, his high clarity of mind and enormous experiential knowledge of Dharma and meditation make him an extremely rare and precious jewel of our time. His main concern is the transformation of theoretical Dharma knowledge into direct experience through practical application – always focused on the well-being of all living beings.
