How we unfold our inherent potential

In Buddhism, we believe that all sentient beings, from the smallest ant to the largest whale, possess Buddha Nature. This inherent potential enables us to develop spiritually, allowing our enlightened qualities to emerge more and more.

Buddha Nature comprises three basic qualities, which Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will explain in more detail in his talk. Its essence is emptiness, its nature appears as clarity, and both in unity allow boundless compassion to spontaneously arise within us.

Unfortunately, this inherent core of our being is obscured by our negative emotions and habitual patterns. This is why it is so important that we work to free ourselves from the constraints of our negative emotions so that we can unleash our full potential. With each layer of negative habits we shed, our enlightened qualities emerge more and more.

Ultimately, this process will lead us to be able to recognize the full dimension of reality in its luminous clarity and to spontaneously express boundless compassion towards all beings.
