Buddhist Wisdom – The 9th chapter of the Bodhicaryavatara by Shantideva

Sat 31.01.26 & Sun 01.02.26 | We recommend participating in both sessions

In Buddhism, the path to wisdom begins with an understanding of emptiness. But emptiness does not simply mean absence or emptiness in the everyday sense, like an empty glass of water. Rather, it refers to the way in which we perceive and evaluate phenomena and attribute a fixed, independent existence to them.

The classical texts of Buddhist philosophy teach that a deep understanding of emptiness not only leads to the overcoming of ignorance – the root of all suffering – but also naturally gives rise to boundless compassion and unconditional love within us.

In this seminar, Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche guides us through the 9th chapter of the Bodhicaryavatara, which deals extensively with emptiness as the true nature of all phenomena. Rinpoche teaches us how to develop this realization – not just intellectually, but as a living experience in everyday life.

The seminar is open to everyone – including those with no prior knowledge or first contact with Buddhism. Everyone is very welcome! During the seminar Dolpo Tulku Rinpoche will explain each of the verses of the Bodhicaryavatara and show how we can apply the words of Shantideva in everyday life.

Rinpoche will continue his online teachings on the Bodhicaryavatara every three months. Everyone is welcome, you can join at any time without problems!
Those who like can get access to the recordings of the previous teachings.

Prerequisites for participation:

No previous knowledge is required, everyone is welcome!
